Possums, marked by their distinctive features of long tails, large black eyes, and coarse gray fur, are quirky inhabitants of the Kansas City wildlife. Favoring a secluded lifestyle, most possums are content dining on various outdoor insects and caring for their growing young away from human contact.
However, their natural curiosity can sometimes lead them closer to human spaces than we'd prefer.
In urban settings, possums can adapt, foraging through garbage cans for tasty leftovers, exploring garden treats, or seeking shelter in attics or beneath porches.
