Mark grew up in the industry with his father owning his own Pest Control Business. He periodically went with his dad to various jobs which influenced him at a young age. Mark’s childhood continued on like any other school boy. He attended a Christian grade school and went on to attend Bishop Ward High School.
Once Mark graduated high school, a higher calling came knocking at the door and before he knew it, Mark was off to boot camp where he would receive training in the Army National Guard. He served 9 years with the Kansas Army National Guard when he separated in January 1999. Mark went on to serve in law enforcement where he was a police officer with the Kansas City Kansas Police Department.
In 2000, another knock at the proverbial door was answered when Mark joined the Kansas Air Guard and enlisted in the 190th Air Refueling Wing as a Security Forces Squad member. It wasn’t long after September 11th, 2001 that he was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Mark went on to deploy two more times to Afghanistan where he strengthened his leadership skills.
Mark returned home from his last deployment and continued his education by pursuing a Master’s Degree from American Military University. His education and leadership skills are the forefront of his operational skill sets needed to fuel a business.
Mark married Heather, his wife, and together they would lay the foundation for Absolute Pest Control. As Mark always says, “behind every good man is a great wife.” Heather is the backbone in Mark’s life, the rock to their marriage. Together with their family, they have blossomed in their community serving in their local church and 4-H club.
Mark is active with his family, coaching various sports or teaching them necessary skills in 4-H for summer fairs. If that isn’t enough, Mark and his family are active in their church volunteering for numerous activities such as the church play, mowing the church grounds, visiting the elderly and participating in fundraiser events.
Heather is a professional in the pharmaceutical industry and possesses the work ethic needed to build a viable business. Together, as a team, they strive to make their family successful, vivacious and tenacious. All their children possess such qualities like honesty and integrity that allow them to be successful pursuing their academics.
